Seniors ‑ as you finish up applying to colleges ‑ mark your calendars to apply for federal financial aid by filing the 2016‑2017 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after January 1, 2016.

With January 1 right around the corner, now is a great time for students and parents to prepare for filing the FAFSA by applying for an FSA ID. An FSA ID will provide access to the Federal Student Aid's online systems and will serve as your legal signature for your FAFSA as well as any federal student loan applications. Moms and Dads ‑ with tax season right around the corner, now is a good time to see if you will qualify for either of the two college tax credits or any of several other education-related tax benefits when you file your 2015 Federal Income Tax Return.

Over 1,200 NH high school juniors and their parents/guardians will be at Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday, April 2, 2016 for our 17th Annual Destination College Event. The program includes college planning workshops and a college fair with over 70 participating colleges and universities. Attendees will have access to a variety of free college planning workshops, student keynote speaker and have the opportunity to participate in scholarship raffles and attend a college fair.

All of the day's events are FREE to students and parents.

Registration for this event is required and will open in February 2016.
