In 2014, The NHHEAF Network created NHHEAF Network Cares, an employee initiative through which food and monetary donations would be voluntarily collected in exchange for the opportunity to dress in casual attire. Funds and donated items from this initiative are then distributed to nonprofit agencies across the state of New Hampshire.
In addition to supporting “Casual Days for Charity”, we also began offering one “Volunteer Day” per calendar year to each employee. Staff members are encouraged to perform community service throughout the state of New Hampshire and may use their “Volunteer Day” to support an organization of their choice. This allows our employees to expand their involvement with a favorite nonprofit, or to perhaps volunteer with an organization for the first time.
We are proud of the difference our employees make in their communities, whether through this initiative or their own individual efforts.
Our colleagues Tammie, Jamie, and Michelle deliver 1,500 pounds of nonperishable food items to the Capital Region Food Program’s Holiday Food Basket Project in December 2019.
Created in order to help every individual share in the nonprofit mission of the organization, an interdepartmental Charitable Review Committee was formed tasked with the goal of coordinating donations to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
NHHEAF Network Cares committee members Phil and Bianca deliver our donations of school supplies to Manchester’s Bakersville School in September 2019.

During the fall of 2014, The NHHEAF Network began “Casual Days for Charity”, a program through which food and monetary donations would be collected voluntarily in exchange for the opportunity to dress in casual attire. Created in order to help every individual share in the nonprofit mission of the organization, an interdepartmental Charitable Review Committee (CRC) was formed tasked with the goal of coordinating donations to nonprofit organizations.
Realizing that not all employees support the same nonprofit goals, charities may be nominated by any current NHHEAF employee for review by the CRC. Nominated charities will be reviewed to determine if they meet the guidelines established. Charities approved by the CRC will be sent out to the organization’s employees to vote and select charities for the next three or six months. Selected charities will be assigned to the calendar by the CRC.
Participation in the Charity of the Month is strictly on a volunteer basis. If a selected Charity of the Month does not align with an individual employee’s beliefs, that employee has several options to select from in order to dress in casual attire. Employees may donate $1.00 weekly or donate an item weekly to the selected Charity of the Month. Casual attire is a charitable benefit and not a requirement.
The goal of NHHEAF Network Care’s Charity of the Month and Mini-Grants is to benefit not for profit organizations and charities. It is our way of giving back to the community. In order to align with the NHHEAF Network Organization’s mission statement, the following guidelines have been established.
These conditions are subject to change. Modification requests may be sent to the Charitable Review Committee via email or placed in the Charitable Giving Suggestion Box located in the café.
“Thank you for your interest in NHHEAF Network Cares!”
