Concord, N.H. — The NHHEAF Network Organizations’ employee-led NHHEAF Network Cares charitable giving program recently awarded four (4) New Hampshire nonprofit agencies mini-grants to support their work in New Hampshire. Since the initiative’s inception in 2014, 42 New Hampshire nonprofits have received mini-grants through this initiative.
Agencies receiving funds include Kingswood Youth Center (Wolfeboro, $250), Manchester Police Athletic League (Manchester, $250), Rockingham Nutrition and Meals on Wheels (Plaistow, $250), and the Crisis Center for Central New Hampshire (Concord, $150).
Since 2014, the Organizations’ team members have contributed and raised in excess of $30,000 in monetary donations which have been distributed through a semi-annual mini-grant process and periodic monetary designations to 74 New Hampshire nonprofit agencies. Additionally, nearly 10,000 pounds of nonperishable food and supplies has been collected and distributed to nonprofit agencies statewide.
“In addition to monetary designations, mini-grants, and fundraising event participation, our team members have enthusiastically performed over 2,500 hours of organization-sponsored volunteer service with nonprofit agencies in New Hampshire,” states the Organizations’ President and CEO Christiana Thornton. “Team members enjoy participating in this initiative and seeing the difference they can make in their communities.”
The NHHEAF Network Organizations are comprised of three active 501(c)(3) nonprofit agencies - New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF), Granite State Management & Resources (GSM&R), and New Hampshire Higher Education Loan Corporation (NHHELCO).
